THE ROUTE SHE HAD TAKEN A MILLION TIMES.
BUT, THIS NIGHT WOULD BE DIFFERENT.

DANGER LURKED WHERE SHE LEAST EXPECTED IT.
Hollywood PR maven Ronni Chasen was on her way home from a very long day at the office. Little did she know, she would never make it home.
At 12:26 a.m. on November 16, 2010, Ronni Chasen was fatally shot in her Mercedes Benz coupe while awaiting a traffic signal at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Whittier Drive in the heart of posh Beverly Hills. After two weeks of investigation by Beverly Hills Police, a suspect was finally identified. The case took a bizarre twist, however, when that person-of-interest committed suicide in front of the officers who came to question him. Ultimately, the police would conclude that this individual --- Harold Martin Smith --- was the perpetrator of the crime.
Nearly a decade after this shocking crime took place, questions and debate remain. Did the police identify the right perpetrator? Was this just a random robbery-gone-bad? Or, is there more to the story of how and why Ronni Chasen was brutually murdered on that crisp autumn night?
6:38: The Death of Ronni Chasen is the result of 8 years of interviews, research and litigation by filmmaker Ryan Katzenbach that will take you inside the story like never before. 6:38 tells Ronni's life story, as well as providing a bio on the alleged murderer, Harold Smith while providing an insider's view of the Beverly Hills Police Department's investigation of the case.
